Spruce UP SO ILL

SPRUCE UP SO ILL is on a mission to beautify SoutherN ILLINOIS.

Spruce Up So ILL is Yellow Door Inc’s initiative to support our beloved Southern Illinois community. Each Yellow Door Signature Home closing will provide $250 worth of funding to spruce up our community.

From picking up trash to painting basketball courts, Yellow Door has committed the Spruce Up So Ill initiative in beautifying our community.

To avoid ‘red tape’ keeping so many much-needed projects from getting accomplished in the area, Spruce Up So ILL is NOT a non-profit, but instead accepts donations to add to the money pot. 100% of these dollars go directly to the mission of these beatification projects.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

OCTOBER 2022 | Most haunted houses cost $20 or more per person. In October we hosted a free kid-friendly “Haunted House” earlier in the day for all ages, then added some creepy actors for the middle and high school ages in the evening. More than 40 kids and parents came through. Thank you to all of our friends and family members who took time to volunteer making it a FIRST haunted house for many of our local kids. Can’t wait for next year.

*Thanks to Marion Police Department for providing a variety of decorations

JULY 2022 | With partnerships from Marion Park District and Maddie Dieters, and A Taste Of Bev’s catering, Yellow Door through its Spruce Up So ILL movement painted an entire basketball court at Jones Park in Marion, IL. Over 40 volunteers, 20 hours or labor, and gallons upon gallons of paint later and we have an incredible basketball hoop for the community to enjoy. See the video below!
